‘Tis the holiday season, and every one of us can probably think of something else we would rather be doing than trying to get into the gym. The reality is, that is exactly WHY you should be finding time to get to the gym. Yet, the holiday parties with loved ones and for work, the endless shopping lists, foods that need to be prepared, gifts that need to be wrapped, and not to mention the phone calls and cards to make, where can you find the time?!

Those sweet cakes and dinner rolls can add up, and you don’t want to experience too much of a setback from holiday indulgences. But never fear! We are here to help, so read on to find out how you can supplement your day to day fitness needs in just 15 minutes!
High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)-
Just as it sounds, a workout based upon engaging the full body for a short period of time to reach your target heart rate and maintain, or further develop your cardiovascular and muscular endurance. HIIT is a great workout method when you’re pressed for time. You can easily squeeze in a quick HIIT circuit so you don’t miss out on any of the holiday fun!
Here is a list of exercises you can do for an effective HIIT workout:
Inverted Rows (TRX Rows)
Lunges (Stationary, Walking, or Rear)
Plank Shoulder Taps
Plank with Rotations (T-Planks)
Pro Tip: Do these movements for time or repetition. Timed intervals should remain between 30-60 seconds depending upon your comfort level, repetitions should be between 15-20. Never use heavy weight, the purpose of this is to increase your heart rate quickly with agile movements.
