First Day of Spring Workout

Well, Youfit Fam, the first day of spring is upon us and it’s time for a fiesta! This party, though, is to celebrate a fresh start, like how fresh flowers do as they push their way out of the soil and back into the spring sunlight. If you’re anything like winter flowers, perhaps you slipped into (workout) hibernation mode during the colder months. But now that spring is upon us, maybe you’ve considered that it’s time to get back into the swing of things.

Well, we’re to help you tidy up and organize your life and get your fitness routine back on track. Who knows why the fitness blues settle in during the winter. Gray skies, tiring of the same routine, or something else. So whether you’re no longer enjoying your workouts, missing out on the results you wanted or just don’t have the energy, we’re here to help you get back on track. And here are a few ways to do just that:

Change the time: Whether you’re in the habit of morning or evening exercise, switch it up! A great way to rejuvenate your routine is to simply switch the time. Give it a shot.

New gear: Look good, feel good! Has it been a while since you gave your workout wardrobe a fresh look? Take stock, and if the seams are starting to split, or the fabric is just tired and old, give a look at updating your workout wardrobe. Get your hands on the types of items you’d wear if you truly believed in your goals – and play the part.

Take a new class: If you’re in the habit of going to the same YouGX class over and over, consider taking something new! Sometimes it’s not the exercise we’re tired of, just the monotony. Cardio kickbox, anyone?

Plan: Sometimes we get home from work, exhausted, and the last thing on our mind is a workout. So get your calendar out and plan in advance. You don’t have to work out every day, but three or four days a week that you’re committing yourself to is sometimes enough to get you into a routine you can stick with.

Pump up the jams: No Youfit sesh is complete – or even gets started – without a proper playlist. If the motivation isn’t coming, queue up a track list of anthems to get your heart pumping, and before you know it, you’ll be channeling the energy you were missing. Start with our playlist below!
