If you are feeling motivated one day, and burnt out the next, you are not alone. Motivation is something that comes and goes naturally, even for the most seasoned athletes. There are certain methods you can utilize, however, that will help you get back on track when you’re feeling down.
During Countdown to Change, you are competing to lose weight in a short amount of time, so it is imperative that you make every day count. Check out our tips below so you can stay motivated and reach your fitness goals with ease.
Determine your “WHY”
Make sure that the goal you set for yourself is something you really want. If it is, remind yourself WHY you wanted to start in the first place! Keep a visual of your “WHY” someplace prominent where you will see it everyday.
Have a support team
No one achieves anything on their own. Behind every successful person is a team of support. Having a buddy to confide in can make all the difference, so go to the Countdown to Change Bootcamps and start setting up YOUR support team! Achieve TOGETHER. Being a motivator for your teammates can keep you motivated along the way.

Enjoy the process
Yes, enjoyment matters! Are you going to keep working out consistently if you actually hate it? That’s why we recommend finding fun and enjoyable activities that will get you moving (like Bootcamps). The more you like it, the more likely you are to keep doing it, the more likely you are to get benefits of it, and the cycle continues! Try new things and find what you like. You can always ask your Youcoach for more suggestions.
Make sustainable changes
Trying to do too much at once can burn you out. Make really small changes that you can stick with and celebrate your consistency. Sustainability is key! If you make temporary changes, you will get temporary results.
Some days you are going to feel ready to give 100%. Some days you will feel more like putting 10% effort in. What matters is that you show up and give whatever you have to give. Giving even just that 10% gets you 10% closer, and 10% more likely to see the results you want. Something is always better than nothing.
